What is Miata Challenge?

A friendly, fiercely-competitive time-attack league built for Mazda MX-5 drivers

Since 2012, Miata Challenge has been the Polish home of Mazda MX-5 track drivingโ€”a time-attack league designed to be inclusive, affordable, and seriously fun. We focus on clean laps, driver development, and a paddock culture thatโ€™s as welcoming as it is competitive. From daily-driven NAs to track-prepped NDs, every generation is welcomeโ€”and every driver gets real seat time on full-size circuits in Poland and beyond.

For 15 years and over 120 competitions, the MC has combined motorsport competition on the best racetracks in Poland and Central Europe, safe driving education in RWD cars, and team-building for over 200 competitors. The MiataFamily.com team is proud to support the MC!

How the format works

Miata Challenge runs as time-attack: you drive in paced groups, and your best lap of the day counts toward class results and points. A typical round gives each group 5โ€“6 sessions of ~18 minutes, which means lots of repeatable attempts to chase a PB. Mandatory briefings, warm-up/cool-down laps, clear flag rules, staging by groups, and live timing keep things flowing and safe.

Classes & parity

Cars are grouped to keep the fight fair for rookies and veterans alike. Classes consider power and build level, so a lightly-modified MX-5 can realistically battle for a podium instead of just logging miles. That parity is the foundation of long-term driver growth.

A day at the track

Check-in โ†’ scrutineering โ†’ driver briefing. You get your group color (based on pace), line up in your staging sector, and go hunting for that perfect lap. Between stints, the paddock comes alive with tire-pressure tweaks, data review, and friendly advice. Itโ€™s part competition, part rolling classroomโ€”and fully MX-5.

Our community (the heart of Miata Challenge)

Miata Challenge is, first and foremost, people. Itโ€™s the drivers, friends who wrench in the evening, engineers-by-passion, photographers, and families who turn race days into meet-ups. Need a torque wrench, a helmet tip, or a quick pressure check before a cooler session? Someone will help. Newcomers are welcomed like old friends, and celebrating a PB together is just as important as the podium ceremony.

Partnering with MX-5 Klub Polska

Weโ€™re proud to collaborate with MX-5 Klub Polska. Shared communication, meets, training days, and synchronized calendars make it easy for club members to transition from cars-and-coffee to full-size track days and league rounds. That synergy lowers the entry barrier and grows the sport the right way.

Road trips to foreign circuits

Every season we add a dash of adventure with trips abroadโ€”think the flow of Brno, the speed of Slovakia Ring, or the technical rhythm of Most. New surfaces, different corner profiles, and unfamiliar braking zones teach adaptability and broaden experience. These tours are team-building at its finestโ€”and the lessons carry straight back into Polish rounds.

Winter SIM league (off-season, on point)

When the real tracks hibernate, we donโ€™t hang up our helmets. We run an occasional winter SIM racing leagueโ€”a perfect pre-season workout. It sharpens consistency, brake points, steering inputs, traffic reading, and even strategy (stints, tires, pit stops)โ€”all without risking the armco. Come spring, getting back in the groove is effortless.

A truly family-friendly atmosphere

Miata Challenge has a family vibe you can feel: kids with ear protection, dogs napping under folding chairs, grandparents cheering on their crew. No one rolls their eyes at โ€œfirst time on trackโ€โ€”weโ€™ll help set mirrors, remind you about the green flag, and talk through pit-in order. Itโ€™s a safe, supportive space where everyone progresses at their own pace.

Four roadsters, one obsession: better laps.
